What a difference a day makes.

Today they started installing the cabinets. I also picked out my granite counter tops and tile backsplash. What do you think?

While we were away.

Our First Camping Trip

We went our our very first camping trip as a family. We visited Lake Casitas. It was a lot of fun. Boats were rented, no fishes were caught, hikes were hiked, water parks were gone to, marsh mello's were burned and birthday's were celebrated. We had tons of fun. My niece Jessica turned 13 years old. Emelia and Jude did pretty good. We managed to leave with no bug bites. The first night we were there Emelia kept asking to leave. She got over it later the next day. I think another camping adventure is in the works for next year.

While we were away alot had gone on in the kitchen. We got two new sliding glass doors and all new drywall and texture.

Jude is a rolling fool.

Jude has been trying to roll over for the past month. Well he finally did it on last Saturday Aug. 9th. Now he is a pro! Can you believe it! Most babies don't roll over till they are 4 months old. He turned 3 months on the 1st. What a fast learner we have.

Check out his video

We have poop!

Emelia went potty on the toilet for the first time today!! We were soooo excited. I have a potty downstairs, because she has been telling me for the past two weeks when she is going pee pee. So I figured it would be anyday now. So today she tells me and she sits on her potty for about 3 min and then poops. No pee pee. We were so excited! What was so cute is that when she stood up and looked back she had a shocked expression on her face and then she started to talk to it. In her Emelia babble. Ha Ha Ha it was really cute. She got a sticker that we put on the peice of paper. She couldn't wait to show daddy her sticker when he got home.

What is going on with kids these days.

So I know this blog is supposed to be about all the fun and happy moments with the kids but I had to write about this.

Yesterday at the park three boys cornered Emelia in a play structure and were in her face being mean to her. (boys were probably about ages 5 to 7 years old) I had just turned my back for a second to grab Jude's hat from my diaper bag that was a few feet away. I saw what was happening and went over and told the boys to be nice! I grabed Emelia out through the window of the house, we moved to another area of the park where there was a water feature flowing into the sand. One of the boys started kicking the watery sand at her. I told him again that he needed to stop and that she is just a little girl. The mother finally got off her cell phone and came over, and told me she would handel it. She told the boy to say Sorry. He said it. Then the other boy started kicking the sand at her. At that time I had it and told him he needed to play nice. I took Emelia's hand and we went to the opposit side of the playground. At that time the other mom saw and made the boy say sorry as we were walking away. I was soooo traumatized by the way these kids were treating her and can't get the image of the boys in her face out of my head. Emelia was curled up in the corner with all three boys surrounding her. I know she probably doesn't remember but for some reason I can't forget. Maybe it was because this is the first time I have seen her been bullied or the fact that it was three Boys in her face.

So I am telling my sitter what happend and then she tells me about this story that happend at the local 24 hour fitness gym. You have to read this story and if you have time sign the petition! I am in total shock over what happend here.

Celeb look-a-like

Have you ever looked at your kids and see a celebrity. Well I do. Every time I look at Emelia and her beautiful round face and curly hair I can not stop seeing Kerri Russell. It might just be me.

What do you think?

And we all know who Jude looks like...........

Family Photo's July 2008 (San Juan Capistrano)

Well it all starts here.......

So many of my friends and family have these Blogs. My cousin Jessica just started hers and it gave me a push to finally get this up and going. I have thought about it for months and even had the title page done but never posted anything. So here it is. I'm not quite sure if I will be entertaining enough to keep this up but I really wanted to have a place for our far away friends and family to come and check in on us and see what is going on with our lives. I plan to write about the silly things Emelia does and all the big milestones that Jude will be meeting.

So just sit back and walk along with the Walkers.
