Ginger Bread House Craft

I always love making Holiday Crafts. Especially now that Emelia is at the age where she can. So this was our first attempt at a ginger bread house. It also did not help that when I opened the box all the sides to house were broken so I had to use frosting to piece them together before Emelia decorated it.

First She needed to taste the frosting to make sure it was ok to use for our foundation.Then she used all the good stuff and of course sampled it while workingTada! All done!

So after we finished the house we set it on our dinning room table. Lately I keep catching her on the table eating the flowers and our roof shingles.

Emelia's Thanksgiving Day Craft

The Holiday Season is upon us!

A trip to see Santa is all we needed to kick off the Holiday's.

Well Emelia is now at that age where she understands the concepts of commercials. We were watching a show one day and the Toys R Us commercial came on. Her eyes lit up and she yelled out "Wonder Pets Fly Boat" So I explained to her that she has to ask Santa for it. So for the past two weeks we have been talking about when we see him you have to tell him what you want for Christmas.

So last night we got in the car and drove to the mall to see Santa. On our way, I couldn't believe how many Christmas lights had popped up over night. Christmas Plam trees lined the streets the whole way there. Emeia was in aww of all the lights. I just love how much she understands this year. Jarrod was trying to teach Emelia to say Christmas instead of HO HO . At one point she said "Christmas" so Jarrod says "say Christmas again" and in Emelia's sweet little voice she says "Christmas again" We both started laughing.

When we got to the mall and made our way to Santa. Emelia became really quite. We walked up to the front and walked over to him. Daddy Sat Jude down on Santa's lap and he was cool just like "The Dude" always is. Emelia just stood there staring him. SO I told her tell Santa what you want. She still just stood there and stared at him. So then I told Santa what she wanted. Then we put her on Santa's knee and she just kinda hugged him. Both Kids did excellent! Not a sound. I do wish we got a smile from them but it was passed Judes bed time and Emelia was in awww. Here is the picture. It is a bit blurry because I took the picture with my Camera phone but I will scan it in later.

Update...

Well I haven't gotten on here and updated on us in awhile.

Jude: is 6 months old now! I know can you believe it. He is getting so BIG! and now weighs the same as his 2 1/2 year old sister. YIKES!! He also has gotten 5 teeth already!!!!! Crazy. We have a linebacker on our hands. He is totally mobile and Loves to get into Emelia's toys. She isn't too happy about it though. He loves to eat and even loves his mommy's homemade baby food. I KNOW who would have thought I would ever make baby food..... and here is the kicker. It is fun!

Emelia: is 2 1/2 years old and is such a ball of energy. Everywhere we go people tell me she is a little monkey. She climbs on everything and no slide is too big for this little girl. She is still very much into animals, wonder pets (obsessed) and art. She is talking SO much and cracks us up everyday. Some of my favorites are:

• When ever Emelia sees letters she busts out "E. I. E. I" and if we try to sing the ABC's and she doesn't want to. She will yell "NO E.I. No E.I."
  
• She never forgets about anything. Yesterday she learned what an ice cream truck was after he came and went. She would not let up and wanted some darn ice cream. He never came back by and she was sad. All day long "I cream truck"
  
• When ever we get home from somewhere she walks in the house and yells "HELLOW" "AYON HEA" (translation Hello anyone here)"
• Sometimes it seems like she was born in the south and says things with a southern draw. like "HeeeellP" or Rightch Heya"
• When she wants something she will grab your hand and say "a mon, walka your hand"(translation Come on give me your hand) LOL
  
• Right now because Christmas has thrown up everywhere. She is always pointing to Christmas stuff and saying "HO HO"
• She says her name now and it is just so cute her name is "Milya"

Jarrod's Business is still going strong and has some great idea's in the works! Hopefully he can get his big plans up and going soon!!

My business is doing great. I have card orders coming in all the time. I am hoping the holiday cards will attract more customers. I am having so much fun designing and coming up with beautiful and fun designs. http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5255223&section_id=5727625

As for my shirts things have been going slow. I'm not sure why. Everyone seems to love the designs, but they just aren't selling.

So I always thought Emelia was a little advanced when it came to arts and crafts, but this is AMAZING! Seriously she is only 2 1/2 and is already trying to draw people or Wonder Pets in this instance. My little girl is an artist prodigy!!! I would like to think it is in the genes! ;)

Trick or Treat?

Well Halloween has come and gone here at the Walker houshold. Emelia had a blast running up to houses with her cousin Daniella, and saying "tick o tweeeeeet" "Hap howaweeeeen" and "Dat chu"(Thank You) We even had to empty her bag once, because it got too heavy for her to carry. We got home just in time to pass out some of our own candy, so we weren't left with this HUGE cauldron of treats. 8:00 comes around and the kids were few and far between. So I figure hey there might be some older kids out, why don't I just set out our cauldron with the left over candy and they can just have at it.I didn't even care if they emptied it all into one bag and took off. Well someone (little punks) decided to play a trick on us and STOLE the cauldron and all it's contents. I am pretty bummed as I have had that cauldron for 4 years now. Here I thought I was being nice and they stole the whole darn thing. Jarrod said "well you did leave it outside" Yeah I left it so they can take the candy not the whole darn thing. Who does that! So I guess I have learned my lesson and will be buying one on clearance at Target tomorrow. ;)
